Questions

Isn't this what Google Analytics does?

Google Analytics counts people. It can't see an assistant fetching your page, and it labels the visitor that answer produced as direct traffic. Agent analytics counts the fetch and attributes the visit, and shows Google Analytics data next to it.

Do I have to change my site?

Pages Pendium hosts need nothing. For the rest of your site, add the Cloudflare Worker or the WordPress plugin. If you run your own front end, there's a page tag and a signed endpoint for your server.

Which agents does it recognize?

The assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and others), training crawlers, research bots and SEO crawlers, each labeled, so a live read never gets mixed up with a crawl.
