Brand Score Lookup
Look up any brand's public AI visibility score — no authentication needed.
Authentication: Optional (works without an API key). If you do send a key, it must belong to a Starter or Pro account; a free account's key gets a 403 with code: "PLAN_REQUIRED", so leave the key off to use the public lookup.
Look up any brand's public visibility score from the Pendium Brand Index. This is the only endpoint that works without authentication — useful for quick checks and competitive research.
You can search by brand slug, website URL, or name.
Query parameters
Pass exactly one of these:
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
slug | string | Brand Index slug (e.g. acme). Most reliable — exact match. |
url | string | Any URL on the brand's website (e.g. https://www.acme.com/pricing). Pendium extracts the domain and matches it. |
name | string | Brand name to search for (e.g. Acme). Must match exactly one brand — returns an error if there are multiple matches. |
Examples
Response
A platform the scan didn't query (a scoped or single-engine run) comes back with queried: false and a null score, never a real 0 — only read a platform as "scores 0" when queried is true.
Visibility levels
| Score range | Level |
|---|---|
| 0–20 | invisible |
| 21–40 | low |
| 41–60 | moderate |
| 61–80 | strong |
| 81–100 | dominant |
Partial scan failures
Rows marked noResponse: true in queries[].platformRankings represent failed attempts. They remain in the response for diagnostics, but do not count toward brandMentionCount or topic mention rates. Each topic rate counts a question once when at least one platform answered it; a question with no usable answers is excluded. A topic with no answered questions is omitted.
When the brand isn't found
If the brand isn't in the Pendium Brand Index:
This means the brand hasn't been scanned publicly yet. You can still scan it privately using Trigger a Scan with your API key.
